A super easy but super useful email
👉 you can rattle one of these off in 5 minutes, yet it's so helpful for your readers
Today’s email prompt for you is the “resource list”.
The resource list is an incredibly easy email to write - you basically just recommend a short list of similar things and add a little commentary.
The subject line will be something like:
“The top 5 books for selling to corporates (my opinion)” or “The top 10 websites for learning Python”.
Your recommendations could be about books on a certain topic, tools to achieve a certain job, websites to visit or newsletters to read.
As long as there’s a common theme, it’s related to the advice you typically give and they’re genuine recommendations then you’re good to go.
If your readers end up taking up your recommendations and they work for them you’ll get credit for it. And in either case, people are always inherently interested in “top 10” lists or what people they follow think are the best of their kind.
Your list can either focus on a narrow topic (for example the 5 best books on email marketing) or they could be broader (for example the top tools I use to run my online business - which would include email, website, crm, video editing and hosting, etc).
That’s it. Pick a topic, then think of the top 5 books or websites or tools or whatever you’d recommend. List them with a few words about each and you’re done.

I've tried this! It ended up being a bit different than what you talked about but I love your stuff so far. Very helpful for a newbie
